I am so pleased to be participating in a truly worthwhile project from the amazing blog Pink Cake Plate. In honor of breast cancer awareness month, and in special tribute to her own mother, who passed away from breast cancer, Pink Cake Plate is sponsoring 31 Days of Pink. In this month-long series, every day a different blogger shares a photo of something pink, along with the story of its meaning to her in relation to breast cancer awareness.
I have the privilege and at once the terrible burden of honoring someone very important to my life through this project – privilege because she was such a special person, and terrible burden because I would much rather she were still here with us. We miss her every day, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to share just a smidgen of how much she meant to us and some of the wonderful memories I have of her:
Many thanks to my dear friend M. for above photo.
